The Bert Fountain

The development of the Bert Fountain on Rue du Château is close to the site of a former pond that has now disappeared. It was there that, during the French Revolution, parishioners are said to have hidden the church bell. This pond was of course used as a watering place, but it also served as a water reserve for fighting fires.
